Smurfit Westrock was formed in July 2024 from the merger of Smurfit Kappa and WestRock and is now one of the world’s largest providers of sustainable packaging solutions. With a presence in over 40 countries, more than 100,000 employees and annual sales of more than USD 32 billion, the company offers packaging solutions for numerous industries with a focus on industrial, e-commerce, automotive, retail, consumer goods and food & beverage.
With production facilities in North and South America, Europe and Asia, the company is strongly positioned worldwide to meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. In the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region, the company develops sustainable packaging solutions at around 30 locations.
The listing on the New York Stock Exchange underlines the international importance and success of the company. “The merger has expanded our opportunities immensely,” says Tony Smurfit. “Sustainable packaging is becoming increasingly important and we want to play an active role in shaping this development.”
