PRGN: Sara Pearson appointed Regional Vice President for EMEA region

Head of London-based agency SPIDER Ltd succeeds Uwe Schmidt

In the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), IC board member Uwe Schmidt has handed over his position as Regional Vice President EMEA to Sara Pearson of London-based communications agency SPIDER Ltd.

Schmidt had filled the position for a year and a half, but would like to focus more on new projects for his own agency in 2021. Sara Pearson is the ideal successor to Uwe Schmidt, as both have been active in the network for many years, have worked together on committees and know and understand each other well through joint projects. “I am sure that Sara Pearson will continue the job excellently,” says Uwe Schmidt.

Since mid-2019, PRGN has had three regional vice presidents in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions. This is to strengthen the regions, boost business and find new partner agencies for PRGN. Anne Buchanan, president of Buchanan Public Relations in Philadelphia is regional vice president Americas for 22 agencies in the Americas. Andy See Teong Leng, managing director of Perspective Strategies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is regional vice president of Asia Pacific (APAC), which includes agencies in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
